기후위기, 탄소중립, 제로에너지빌딩에 관한 다양한 학습과 체험을 동시에 할 수 있는 공간, 바로 서울에너지드림센터에서는 현재 여름방학 특강 [책으로 만나는 환경 이야기]가 센터 1층과 3층에서 진행 중입니다.
관련하여 환경과 도서를 접목시킨 유익한 특강도 오픈되어있는데요, 지난 7/30(일) 기후위기와 물 부족에 대해 배우고 물을 아낄 수 있는 가드닝 체험 활동 <풀씨가 된 모래알> 특강이 진행되었습니다. 무더운 날씨에도 불구하고 총 15 가족 분들이 서울에너지드림센터 3층 다목적실을 찾아주셨습니다! 드림기자단도 여러분들께 현장을 소개해드리기 위해 특강에 참여하였답니다.
이번 특강의 제목인 <풀씨가 된 모래알>은 풀씨가 들려주는 기적의 숲 이야기라는 부제를 지닌 동화책입니다. 모래 알갱이보다 더 작은 풀씨가 “인위쩐”이라는 여성을 통해 사막을 숲으로 만들게 된 실화를 바탕으로 한 이야기랍니다.
이번 특강의 강사로 초빙된 조윤희 정원사님과 함께 동화를 읽으며 물이 왜 소중한 지, 물이라는 소중한 자원을 어떻게 다뤄야 하는지에 대해 배워본 뒤 물을 아끼는 정원을 만들어 보는 시간을 가졌습니다.
이렇게 물에 관련한 질문과 재미있는 답변을 주고 받으며 오늘 활동에 대한 궁금증이 더욱 키워진 상태로 <풀씨가 된 모래알> 동화책을 함께 읽는 시간을 가져보았습니다. 초롱초롱한 눈빛으로 아이들이 정원사님이 읽어주시는 이야기에 집중하며 듣는 모습을 볼 수 있었습니다.

사막에 남은 사람의 발자국을 우연히 보고 사람에 대한 그리움에 사무치게 된 인위쩐은, 사막을 숲으로 만들면 사람들이 다시 찾아올 것이라는 생각을 가지고 사막에 풀씨를 심습니다.
모래알보다 작은 풀씨 하나를 희망과 열정으로 세심하게 돌보고 성장시킨 인위쩐.
그 결과 풀씨에서 작은 새싹이 자라나고, 더욱 빠르고 크게 사막은 다양한 생물들이 찾아온 아름다운 숲으로 변화합니다.
실화를 바탕으로 한 <풀씨가 된 모래알>을 통해 작은 행동 하나를 통해 큰 변화와 영향을 만들어낼 수 있다는 메시지를 배울 수 있었습니다. 그리고 이번 특강의 포인트 생명을 성장시킬 수 있는 '물'에 대해 배웠답니다. 다함께 동화를 읽어보는 시간을 가진 후, 직접 체험을 통해 배우는 시간이 시작되었습니다.

'물을 아끼는 정원'을 만들어보는 체험이었는데요, '물을 아끼는 정원'이란 바로 작은 지구 생태계를 만드는 것 입니다. 이 작은 공간안에서 증발-응결-강수-증산 작용이 이루어지며 이 작은 지구 안 흙에 물을 주면, 식물이 수분을 흡수하고 증산 작용을 하여 수분을 내뱉게 됩니다. 그 다음 배출된 수증기들이 모여 구름을 형성하고 구름들이 무거워지면 다시 물이 되어 흘러내리게 됩니다. 작은 지구인 밀폐 테라리움안에서 일어나는 순환의 과정을 직접 볼 수 있는 것 입니다. 밀폐 테라리움은 물을 한번 지급한 후 뚜껑을 열지 않는 이상 일년 이상을 살아간다고 합니다.
그렇다면 작은 지구인 '물을 아끼는 정원' 테라리움은 어떻게 만들어 질까요? 아래 방법으로 집에서도 손쉽게 만들 수 있답니다!
테라리움의 매력에 빠져 심혈을 기울여 작은 지구를 만드는 여러 가족분들의 모습을 볼 수 있었습니다. 테라리움의 뚜껑을 한 번 닫으면 다시는 못 열기에 다들 심혈을 기울여 배치를 하시곤 하였습니다.
테라리움 완성작의 모습을 한 카메라의 앵글에 담으며 활동은 마무리가 되었습니다. 지구에서 물이 어떠한 방식을 통해 순환하는지와 물에 대한 소중함을 일깨워주는 학습 시간을 가진 뒤 작은 지구인 테라리움을 직접 만들어 보며 환경에 대해 생각해 볼 수 있는 특강이었습니다.

SEOUL ENERGY DREAM CENTER (hereinafter "Company") establishes and discloses this Privacy Policy to protect the personal information of data subjects and to handle related complaints promptly and smoothly, in accordance with the Personal Information Protection Act.
Article 1 (Purpose of Processing Personal Information)
The Company processes personal information for the following purposes. Personal information being processed shall not be used for purposes other than the following, and if the purpose of use changes, necessary measures such as obtaining separate consent shall be taken in accordance with applicable laws.
- Membership registration and management
Personal information is processed for the purposes of confirming membership intent, identification and authentication for membership services, maintaining and managing membership, and preventing unauthorized use of services. - Customer inquiry handling
Personal information is processed for receiving inquiries through 1:1 inquiries and bulletin boards, contacting for fact verification, and notifying processing results.
Article 2 (Items of Personal Information Processed)
The Company processes the following personal information items:

During the use of services, IP addresses, access logs, cookies, and service usage records may be automatically generated and collected.
Article 3 (Processing and Retention Period)
The Company processes and retains personal information within the period of retention and use consented to when collecting personal information from the data subject, or within the period prescribed by law.
- Member information: Until membership withdrawal. However, if an investigation related to a violation of applicable laws is in progress, until the completion of said investigation.
- Non-member board post information: Until the post is deleted.
- 1:1 Inquiry information: 3 years after completion of inquiry processing (retention of records related to consumer complaints or dispute resolution under the Act on Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce).
Article 4 (Provision of Personal Information to Third Parties)
The Company processes personal information only within the scope specified in Article 1 (Purpose of Processing Personal Information), and provides personal information to third parties only in cases falling under applicable laws.
Currently, we do not provide personal information to third parties.
Article 5 (Entrustment of Personal Information Processing)
The Company may entrust personal information processing as follows for smooth processing:

Article 6 (Destruction Procedures and Methods)
- The Company shall destroy personal information without delay when it becomes unnecessary due to expiration of the retention period or achievement of processing purposes.
- Destruction procedure: Information entered by users is transferred to a separate database after the purpose is achieved and destroyed after a certain period in accordance with internal policies and applicable laws.
- Destruction method: Personal information in electronic file format is deleted using technical methods that make the records irreproducible, and personal information printed on paper is destroyed by shredding or incineration.
Article 7 (Rights and Obligations of Data Subjects)
- Data subjects may exercise the following rights related to personal information protection at any time:
- Request to view personal information
- Request for correction in case of errors
- Request for deletion
- Request to suspend processing
- Rights may be exercised in writing, by phone, or by email, and the Company shall take action without delay.
- If a data subject requests correction or deletion of personal information errors, the Company shall not use or provide the personal information until the correction or deletion is completed.
Article 8 (Measures to Ensure Safety of Personal Information)
The Company takes the following measures to ensure the safety of personal information:
- Password encryption: User passwords are encrypted for storage and management, so only the user can know them.
- Technical measures against hacking: Security programs are installed and regularly updated and inspected to prevent leakage and damage of personal information caused by hacking or computer viruses.
- Access restriction: Access to personal information is controlled through the granting, changing, and revoking of access rights to the database system that processes personal information.
Article 9 (Personal Information Protection Officer)
The Company designates a Personal Information Protection Officer as follows to take overall responsibility for personal information processing and handle complaints and remedies related to personal information processing:

Article 10 (Changes to This Privacy Policy)
This Privacy Policy is effective from the date of implementation. Any additions, deletions, or corrections due to changes in laws or policies will be announced through notices at least 7 days prior to the effective date of the changes.
